Even though this week in Copenhagen has been nothing but terrible weather, I still gathered up energy for a walk when I was offered 12 hours to play with the new Panasonic Lumix S1R. This camera is without a doubt one of the most anticipated releases of 2019, and even though I ‘only’ had a pre-production model (Firmware version 0.7) it was quite a lot of fun trying it out - especially with their S PRO 50mm f/1.4 in front of the 48 megapixel full-frame sensor.
I walked a total of 9 kilometers over the span of three hours, and surprisingly I only encountered one short rain-shower. The camera endured and I have to say I am quite happy with the results of the night - getting to know a new camera is pretty tough when you are used to your trusty old Sony, but I’m always up for the challenge.
All of these pictures are shot in JPG as there are no RAW-support for the cameras in Lightroom yet (duh), which means these photos are only slightly adjusted in terms of colour etc. I am excited to see this camera come out later this year and will be crossing my fingers for getting to try a final version.
Please enjoy the pictures.
