March 2 - March 7 2018
For as long as I remember, I have wanted to see the northern lights with my own eyes, and in March 2018 I travelled past the polar circle to Norway with my bag full of camera gear, and a hope that everything would pan out in my favour. Observing the Aurora Borealis is no easy feat, because besides having to travel to a polar region in the winter, you have to be lucky with the weather as well as with the amount of solar activity. Having booked this flight six months in advance, we had no idea what to expect, but things did play out well. Five days with a rental car driving around the small island of Senja is definitely an experience I will never forget.
